教育目的/学修到達目標 | 【Learning Objectives】 Building on the Professional Communication 1 course, this course aims to further improve proficiency in English communication for future careers in business and research. This subject will focus specifically on practical listening and reading skills using materials from a range of professional contexts such as conferences, meetings, business emails, and finding employment. This course will also focus on further building interactive speaking skills and strategies for conversation, discussion, and Q&A contexts. Tactics and self-study skills to further improve TOEIC test scores will also be looked at. 【Learning Goals】 (1) Students will be able to perform simple spoken tasks related to certain everyday and professional contexts. (2) Students will be able to gain information from reading and listening to passages on simple business-related topics. (3) Students will be able to recognize and understand vocabulary often used in specific business and professional contexts. |
授業概要/指導方針 | 【Course Outline / Teaching Method】 This is a student-centered communicative language course and accordingly active student participation will be expected in a range of pair-work and small-group activities. This course also has a significant self-study component including extensive reading and vocabulary building. 【Learning time (for review and preparation) 】 Study Xreading outside the class : 25 hours Review 30 min and preparation 30 min × 8: 8 hours |
