The learning objectives of this subject are to prepare students with the knowledge and language to help them get started in research writing.

【Learning Goals】
(1) Students will be able to explain and describe the basic structure of an academic research article.
(2) Students will be able to organize and write the basic parts of an academic research article.
(3) Students will be able to organize and read materials for a basic literature study.
授業概要／指導方針 【Course Outline / Teaching Method】
To provide students with the opportunity to develop confidence and familiarity with English as a form of communication, this subject is taught all in English. Students will be expected to actively participate in a range of pair-work and small-group activities using English. Additionally, students will write several texts in English.

博士前期課程で開講される「リサーチライティング」を履修した場合には、履修できない。

成績評価の方法と基準 Grading (S, A, B, C, or D) will be determined by weekly review quizzes (30%), written texts (30%), and a final test (40%).
